What is YOU ARE A STAR ?
You Are A Star is an annual singing competition organized by New Music School & Recording Studio. Now in its 5th edition, it brings together talented vocalists from all over Cyprus, offering performance stages, professional exposure, and media visibility.
The competition is open to all singers in Cyprus. Current or past students of New Music School are not eligible to compete, but selected students may participate as guest performers (not competitors).

For 2026, the competition will be broadcast live online for the first time, expanding its audience across Cyprus and beyond.
📈 Proven Success & Growth
In 2025, You Are A Star drew over 80 applications.
34 singers advanced to two semifinals (about 250 audience each), followed by a grand final of 18 finalists performing before a full house of 300 spectators.
🎆 An Unforgettable Stage ExperienceThe final featured a large LED screen displaying artist visuals and sponsor branding, plus a professional presenter and a dedicated team working behind the scenes to keep every moment running smoothly.

🎶 HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS
📩 Video Auditions
Singers from all over Cyprus submit a short video of their performance.
A panel of professionals from New Music School & Recording Studio reviews all entries and selects the most promising voices to move forward.
🎤 Live Semifinals & Final
The chosen contestants perform on stage with professional sound, lighting, and LED visuals in front of a live audience.
🏆 Fair & Exciting Results
Winners are decided by a jury of professionals combined with online audience voting, creating a transparent and engaging experience for everyone.
